love it. where's the dialogue, though?

Ah, this was a great chapter.
The party Beth had- April's conversation with Amber and Beth herself, and Alex's thoughts on Katie, Abbey, and Eric as well as his conversation with Amber- which they both needed- it was nice. All of it.
The end with AK2 doing it on the seaweed rug was sweet, and I love the inner thoughts of an older and wiser April. She's awesome.

Long time no review! I had to re-read this chapter to remember what we going on but I liked it and I'm going to read more now.

I liked the conversation between Alex and Cristina, it was nice and true to character. Her calling him Alex at the end instead of Evil Spawn or something was sweet.
It's also nice how Alex unknowingly (and sort of annoyingly) comforted April after her long shifts at the hospital- it was probably my favorite scene of the chapter.
Also, it's sad that Winston died and that Alex refuses to admit he misses him.

Ps: Sorry I haven't read or reviewed in a few days, I've been busy. But I will finish reading this story! It's too good not to.

Katie "not going to miss Alex" and Alex "not caring/being worried" about Katie going to college in California was sweet, and very true, neither one of them would say that to each other. Lol.

It was nice to see Katie get into the college she wanted. Also, it was interesting to see Abbey being the first one to do it and the way April reacted seems very in character.
I love seeing AK2 and their kids grow up- it's gradual, well paced, and stays true to life. Seeing Alex and April's thoughts is very nice.

Wow, Katie went though hell this chapter. I'm glad her attitude is changing.

I got my Eric fix with the circus scenes. I think its funny how Eric and Alex look and act alike. Alex's reaction to Katie smoking pot is understandable given his circumstances but possibly a little harsh at the same time.
I hope that Katie will get past this phase and get over herself. I get that she has her issues with being abandoned by her mom but there comes a time when you have to stop blaming people for your problems and get on with your life.
Also, I hope Katie and Abbey don't develop a further rift due to them going to the same school. I hope it brings them together despite their differences, however, I don't believe they will.

I love Alex and Abbey's relationship and I understand their closeness and teared up a little when she said "It's ok dad" while he was in the hospital.
I'm with April- I don't like how Katie is so removed from the family but I have met people like her and sometimes when you're fighting everyone you're angry at yourself for fighting back.
I would also like to see more of Eric.
Also, Alex not working as much? Yes, he needs a break and I'm happy he's sort of thinking about it.

Katie certainly is a handful. Lol. And I adore Abbey. Seriously, it's like they are real people and I enjoy watching them grow up.
This story is making me wish that Alex and April were together on the show instead of Jackson/April and Alex/Jo, even though I have a healthy appreciation for them both.

*pumps fist in the air* Yeah! That's what I'm talking about! I'm so happy but I don't like how Katie feels abandoned by their mother.

I feel bad for Alex in this chapter for obvious reasons. Abbey at the end is heartbreaking and adorable at the same time.

Katie and Abbey are so different and I love them both.
Alex and April's differing views on them both are heartbreaking in their own right- the way Alex obviously loves the girls and spoils them but knows what the system is like and therefore isn't hopeful about anything, and April who is falling in love with the kids and will inevitably want to keep them because its the type of person she is.

April, honey, you've gotta know when to say enough is enough. Lol. The girls are cute but I'm wondering how Alex will continue to handle them. I can totally see their house full of life and animals and despite the new mess it seems homey.
