I've yet to see a cannon explanation for Minato's death that makes sense. Why couldn't Kushina do the sealing? Why didn't they have fallbacks other than the shiki-fuin?

The only possible reasons I can think of is Hubris and/or Selfishness on Minato's part.

He was either too proud to think he would fail or he literally didn't give a damn about what would happen to Naruto without one of his parents to vouch for him and say "Yeah. Not the Kyuubi in human form. I would know, given he's my son". He'd rather die than man the fuck up and take care of his own child.

This could have all been prevented if Minato was a responsible adult. How fucking hard would it have been to have Jiraiya, the Sandaime, Kakashi, and the clan heads guard the cave entrance?
I bet they would have been able to stop Obito long enough for Minato to finish him off.

With the added benefit of the whole village knowing that a bigger threat than the Kyuubi was lurking around if they somehow failed. Because that seems important.

It's been rumored that the original clan heirs were almost all killed by the Kyuubi's attack. That's why Naruto was in a class full of clan heirs, save for Kiba and Sasuke. It makes sense- explaining why Itachi and Hana (Kiba's sister) are the eldest clan heirs.

It would also explain why people who know Naruto's heritage don't help him much in cannon. It hurts less to ignore a reminder of the loss of one of their children.

oh poor Itachi! You haven't introduced him in the sequel yet so I've been wondering how he took all of this. I like Naruto being a genius, it makes for a very interesting story.

ok so wow I have seen almost the entire Naruto I'm in the war and Naruto is already dead with sakara trying to resurrect him ...sorry if you haunt seen that but you mentioned the ending and...but I have no clue what you are talking about with bolt and sia and anko's child and who is bolt

I read the chapter's you had posted for the sequel first, so now I'm just wondering if Naruto was assigned a mission because at the end there it seemed as though Naruto remembered and was watching Itachi. It just makes me so curious and I can't wait to see more, there is so much potential for the sequel.

yes! a sequel! I love you! the part where naruto forgets everyone was so sad. I almost felt like crying. team 4 had such a strong bond and after waiting so long for naruto to wake up, he forgets! Damn that must have hurt itachi really bad. thanks for a really good fic. I really appreciate this.
