I was just rereading my favs and had to let you know how much I love this. It’s incredibly well written. Fantastic story crafting! Love the two twists that Merlin is solid, warm and always visible to Arthur and that the others can only see him when he’s feeling strong emotions. Awesome. So, I was really confused right after reading this. But then I went back and reread the "present" parts. The only thing I still don't fully understand is: how do people see Merlin? Is it if they believe he's alive or there or whatever? That's my guess. Anyways, great fic! Thanks for writing! Beautiful!

I loved the story, it was very emotional and well written, but I confess I'm still very confused. Is Merlin really there or not? Did he actually burn, or was that a magical copy or something? Is he there in body or spirit or both? Can people only see Merlin when Arthur is touching him? Though, I admit, I really don't think a concussion would stop Merlin from using magic. After all, he used his magic while unconscious and dying in 1:4, a little concussion probably wouldn't stop him. But beyond that admittedly small detail, I loved the story. I've also been enjoying your Narnia and Supernatural fanfiction. Keep up the great work!

Oh my goodness, wow! Just wow! That pyre scene was so completely heartbreaking and, though I didn't actually cry, I sure wanted to the whole time. I don't think any fanfiction has ever made me hate Uther more or made me love Arthur and Merlin's brotherly friendship more than this did.

That was actually really good. I was confused a bit after the sorcerer attacked the second time, but overall that was a very good and unexpected twist you had at the end. Even though it was a bit sad, i liked it a lot :)
