I love this again! :D I love your story about Merlin's birth - It's awesome! :D I always imagined that when Merlin as a baby opens his eyes for first time they'd be gold! And when Hunith said that Merlin and Arthur fell asleep on each other and that it was cute, I was laughing so much and then I was like awwwwww! :)

Weaving Bard chapter 2 . 2/27/2013
loved the stories.

loved the fascination with beards.

loved the difficult child merlin

loved hunith sharing merlin's childhood, oh how she must have always must have wanted and needed to brag about her special and wonderful and handsome boy. FINALLY she can do what all the other mothers do. and she's bragging to a king. Makes me all quishy inside again.

merlin's not the only one who's been lonely.

poor hunith

I really really love this.

meanie.

sigh.

yah.

love this.

gonna print it out, cut it up, and roll in it so I can become more beautiful.
Weaving Bard chapter 1 . 2/27/2013
Just prattling. Woke up. Can't keep me away from your writing. You bad influence.
Merlin and Arthur need to work together for Albion, however "officially":

Arthur - Merlin is his protector or champion. Leon, Arthur's first of the 'old school' knights
Gwen - Lancelot is her knight or champion.
Merlin - Gwaine is his protector or champion, secret noble.

The show sort of messed this up by giving Lancelot and Gwaine both the role of Merlin's protector for a while. Frustrated me, really. Courage, Magic and Strength went over the bridge and that was great... and I was so happy that Merlin had a champion. And then I realized that Lancelot was just the confidant.

I thought it sweet that both Merlin and Gwaine talk to much. Merlin's handy with the magic and no one has magic like him and Gwaine's handy with his sword and no one fights like him. In a way, they are another little coin. Another set of brothers. Not fated to start albion, but to be friends. Someone Merlin can go to when he needs someone to get him to a crystal cave when he's at his weakest. When he cannot ask Arthur, because while Arthur is his friend - he IS the KING.

and now I'll stop talking about this.. because you know it. I just wanted to voice it.

And on to your review!

-

Wicked. the story of merlin's birth. was he already a creature of magic that needed to be greeted and named properly before he would awaken to this world? I"d like to think so. Hunith is so pretty. So feminine. Delicate and strong. You capture her perfectly. She's there at merlin's side. he's devoted to her. He's her gentle little boy and he'd also level the planet to make her happy if that is what it would take... if she would allow it. she's the mother who imprinted on his personality. taught him survival. taught him humility. and you put it there without lecturing the audience. you coax all of it in actual story. entertaining, seducing us with a gorgeous tale. making us think it's all nice nice... and then utoh... we're feeling wiser. humbled. as if we were at the birth of a God.

This cannot be good for me to be awake so soon.
