I think the Anabel concept is a little overused. A man who's lost a love and is afraid to love again meets a woman who can make him see that it's all worth it? Eh.
I wish you would have gone a different direction, like the real life example being Gallus and Karliah, and seeing what happened there scared Brynjolf.

I have mixed feelings about this. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing writing and you really get Brynjolf and I'm enjoying the heck out of it. The first two chapters were the best rendition of Brynjolf out of the game I've ever read in a fanfiction. The approach to the romance is unique. The part with the "You're just standing right there!" had me rofl. Indeed! Loved the tension you started with, every story should be like that!

Now why do I have mixed feelings? Because you introduce a lot of new things, like Anabel and him accompanying her to Whiterun and I'm a bit skeptical about things like that.

But the story is very intriguing and I'll keep reading for sure. Again! Amazing first two chapters, you really knocked the character!

I am in love with this story. Can't wait for the next chapter!
