Reviews for Dark Night of the Soul
Guest chapter 1 . 1/24/2019
I would've loved to see John kick those bodyguards butts a bit though, despite his weaker state. Earning respect from them. I never think he gets enough respect.

Christ Almighty...

It is, by and far, one of the longest one-shots I have ever read, as well as one of the best. In the end, I didn't even realized I was crying someway through this piece - Just... wonderful. Awesome. Great... Any more synonyms? I'm too tired to make up more.

Thanks really for recommending me this - To say that I have enjoyed reading this would be an understatement. I fell in love.

I leave quite a lot of reviews for your stories, I have noticed... Maybe that's 'cause your stories are really good...?

P.S - I had a look at your other story (The one 'really short with both men in a romantic relationship') despite really disliking Sherlock slash. I think I liked it just because you wrote it :)

Very good! Poor John. At least he got Sherlock back.
ItrustIbelieve chapter 1 . 2/2/2012
I loved how you portrayed all the characters and the detail with which you described every scene. I could see everything in my mind with perfect clarity.

Another thing I liked is that it wasn't slash, or at least, not clearly. I love John and Sherlock's relationship as it is, a deep, powerful and sweet friendship, not a romance.

Surely some people can see at least some infatuation in the way Sherlock holds John's hand in the end, but I think that it's lovely that everyone can interpret it the way he prefers.

Sorry if I made any mistakes, English is not my first language.

That's beautiful :)

Fantastic effort. :D

I think your handle on the regular characters and their respective interactions was excellent and I rather liked the new additions like Webb and Rogers.

And damn, Sherlock's dream near the end. I genuinely thought for a moment it was real which was gut wrenching. Thank goodness you gave us a happy ending after all.

A very enjoyable read which I'm sure I'll revisit in the future.
