Nice little chapter. I find you did a great job with his character. He seems paranoid about them finding out from any little thing, and that's exactly how I imagined him.

I really like this perspective. Usually, Remus is portrayed as shy, so he wouldn't have reacted as angrily at them, but I liked that you still did that. I'm looking forward to the rest of the story.

Oh Remus! I want so bad to just give him a hug and not let go. Poor McGonagall, having to deal with all that. This was a great chapter i can;t wait to see the make up from Remus' side.

Somebody needs to slap John Lupin! Ugh...frustration! Poor Remus, this chapter was hard in the shrieking shack; but it is absolutely awful from Remus's point of view... Ah so upsetting, I was about to cry; especially the last line from from John! So many colorful words I could throw at that man... Dispite the horrow Remus goes through, very good chapter!

Yeah. Didn't care to sign in just now. But it's me. And you updated it! The way you demonstrated the awfulness of Remus' year was superb in this chapter, with clear, poetic-ish memories from the worst mistake and the worst few days of his life held up against Greyback's threats.

It's strange, because Remus is usually my favorite Marauder by far, out of era. In-era, it's obviously James. But I like Remus next-best, even then. But I haven't liked your Remus much. The emotions, the fear he must have felt very early on have been very well-portrayed. His gradual loosening up first year and early on in second was amazing, too. But every so often, he's just so calculating. Like how he originally dropped Lily and let James, Sirius, and Peter befriend him because he figured Lily was smart enough to figure him out, and the boys weren't. He DID decide he was wrong, but thinking it in the first place made me a little wary of him. And he's often having thoughts like that, weighing the cost of action against the consequences.

This chapter is the first time he hasn't. And I LOVE Remus for it, and forgive him for his manipulative behavior and considered companionship in the past. In this chapter it is abundantly clear that even if Remus doesn't yet know what he is to Peter, James, and Sirius (and how could he, at this point?), the three of them have become everything to him. It's horrible of me, but I revel in his panic and the couple of sacrifices he contemplates. Telling them he's a werewolf, going with Greyback, it's FANTASTIC. And also when he loses his temper with the stupid idiots in the end.
