I'm genuinely confused. You had started your fic so well and managed to make a great oc story out of chronicle.

A major thing that's bothering me is the baby. Mel knew she was pregnant the morning after? Do you understand what pregnancy is like? It takes roughly two months to realize your pregnant. If you want me to get into the scientific side of it, she wouldn't be pregnant the day after. It takes a few days for the sperm to get to the egg.

Bottom line is if you're going to use a baby story, make it correct. Before the baby though, your story had been going along great

Okay, so I stopped reviewing this for a little bit because you brought in the kid and I was like, oh no, we've got a typical "get pregnant with the lead character's baby" type thing going on, how is this ever going to work out, do I want to keep reading or should I just stop right now. But I kept reading, hoping you would be able to make me proud, and I think you have. You're kind of putting the baby plot in the backseat for right now in lieu of the Guardians, which I'm enjoying. You always want to remember to put the thing that everyone thinks is going to be really cliche on the back burner, because then people tell you that they enjoyed how the romance/whatever else wasn't really prominent and didn't detract from the story, which is what you want to happen. (For it not to detract from the story, I mean.)

I also can't say much on the baby matter because I'm planning a pregnancy in my own SI fic, although it's not so much an SI as just an Andrew/OC fic. Then again, the OC accidentally brings Andrew back from the dead, is constantly skinjacked by him, gains her own telekinetic powers, and becomes evil, destroying more or less everything around her and having no problem with first-degree murder before getting knocked up, so it's a bit less of a traditional story, but you know what I mean. ;p

Also I like how you have the Guardians telling Melanie to kill Andrew. I honestly was not expecting that because people try a lot of the time to keep someone like Andrew alive somehow, so they'd, in this situation, probably have the Guardians come up with a way to save Andrew. So I'm glad you have them telling her to kill him. I'm assuming she won't, considering her loyalty to him, but it's a good thing that she was told to, at least.

I really do see promise in the story. Sorry for not reviewing earlier. I just don't like reviewing stuff that I think is going to go down the same path I see so many other fanfic OC authors going down. :/
