Aww, this is so cute. Really. And such a great way for Morgana to find out about Merlin's magic. So many opportunities for Mergana to happen that were wasted, absolutely wasted...
Anyway, ah...I didn't really feel like this was rushed. It would have been awesome to see this as something longer than a one-shot, but it works great as a one-shot. All good things have their end.
So, ah, yeah...Good job. A great contribution to Mergana fanfiction, and I suppose I'll be taking my leave now. Bye!

You mentioned that this wasn't your best, but this was touching and beautiful. I love that it takes us back to season one, when things were simpler but there was still a lot at stake.

And I absolutely ADORE that Morgana's the one taking care of Merlin. Since season three, it seems, it's always been the other way around. In the show, Merlin's always been the strong one. But really, he's suffered so much loss and doesn't have that many people to truly speak to. And Morgana was so lost, confused, and scared, but I think she's the kind of person who could overcome her fear when faced with the need to become strong. So it's great to see a scenario in which he confide not only his grief but his secret to Morgana. I think the writers missed so much opportunity for them to connect and share like this, so this is truly a great read.

Anyways, loved it. Thanks for writing!

Aww, that was so sweet! It was a little strange to be traveling back in time to s1, but I found I enjoyed the trip. It's been so long since Merlin and Morgana were nice to each other that was surprisingly good to go back to the good old days before she became a pod person.

I really liked your comparison of how he handles grief differently from her, which I think was dead on - Merlin may shed a few tears, but mostly the only outward sign that he's in pain is that he's a little quieter than normal (i.e. when Freya died) while Morgana blew up when someone close to her was hurt (I just wish that person hadn't been Morgause). They really are fire and ice, and they could've been so. Damn. Perfect together!
