Oh, this is a fantastic story. I love every single line of it, and I don't care if that's gushing. Your characterisations are spot on - WHAT a pre-Reichenbach Sherlock! - and your writing flows and flows and flows with never a hitch, you've got a really special way of turning your phrases, and I love your dry-as-dust humour.

I love how you write about John through Sherlock's eyes. Whoever says John isn't completely as extraordinary as Sherlock himself has no idea what they're talking about. It's just less obvious!

Sherlock going to Mycroft for fashion advice at age ten is a completely hilarious but also oddly touching idea. The scene when Sherlock bursts into Mycroft's office while Mycroft is on the phone with someone Very Important and the impending disaster - doesn't happen after all is so funny, too. You've got a great handle on the Holmes brothers dynamic.

The banter between Sherlock and Anthea when she & friends come rescuing him and John at the pool was brilliant, too. She sure knows how to keep the Holmes boys in line!

Favourite lines include Sherlock "flicking his coat collar into submission", and likening the Scotland Yard detectives to "predatory adolescent girls"; and only Sherlock would come up with the idea that he'd have to hug someone in "self-preservation". Seriously, how do you come up with these things?

Donovan's "Can't even stay dead like decent people, that one" at the reunion was a great line, too, not least because it's totally unclear how serious she is until she ends up providing Sherlock and John with that lovely lasting memento of their reunion. I find myself liking your post-Reichenbach resolution better than what we got in the show!

Great description on Sherlock's views and feelings towards John. I enjoyed hearing about his room in the mind palace. The chess piece analogy was amazing and I agree with you that 2 months is better than 2 years

Extremely sweet! 3 it's rare to find fics in the SH fandom that involve purely friendship between Watson and Holmes (not saying that the pairing is bad, but it's refreshing to see some well-written platonic fics on here) and this is absolutely wonderful! The characterization were all on point and it was overall a lovely read.

...And if said pic becomes his phone background... Well, no one has to know, right?

Love how you showed Sherlock's gradual realization of how much he had come to care for John and their friendship. He is definitely on the side of the angels, even if sometimes people think he's the devil himself because he knows how to make people's livrs a living hell. ;) Sherlock is definitely no sociopath.
