I followed this story back when you were writing it, and I truly can't believe it's been almost 5 years since it's last edits, and even more since the story began. During the process I was obstinate and annoying, (who isn't when they're young) but you were patient and kind when interacting with me. Wow, When I first watched this movie I fell in love and went immediately searching into writings about it, of all the ones out there, this one is no doubt the best. So well written and all the emotions and feelings into each character, each one like it’s own, what I loved is that in order for Sarah and Jareth to work, she must have called him first, it wouldn’t have been the same the other way around, she needed to break that barrier and accept him. I LOVED this so much and thank you for writing this amazing thing for all of us lovers! Thank you once more

Lately I've been on a Labyrinth kick fueled by my enjoyment of Bowie music, and in shuffling through the FF archives I stumbled across this fanfic and thought it looked like a good read. I enjoyed the beginning chapters but I had a strange sort of feeling, like they were familiar to me somehow. Then I made it to chapter 7, and I saw my name in the author's note, and it hit me: I read this fic back when it was still updating, seven years ago! Realizing this made me laugh (and also feel very, very old), and made me delighted because I actually was able to see how everything came together! This is a very good Labyrinth fanfic, with justice done to all the characters. Even the original characters feel like they could slip easily into the film, and the worldbuilding is original enough to stand out amid the other "Jareth is a Fae and there is a High King and a dark mage who wants power etc." fics that dominate the fandom. I think after reading this fanfic I went and finally watched Labyrinth for the first time, and to this day it remains one of my favorite films. So, on behalf of one aged fan, thanks for posting this fic. It was a wild ride, and I'm glad I found it again.
