Lovely fic with a great backstory and explanation for events we already know about and why John is so empathetic. Works well. I'd so love to read more one day.

Once in a while I had to reread to make sure I knew what you meant, and then wasn't fully always. Might be my poor old brain, or the odd punctuation or missing word, not sure. This story is so good it's worth another proofread to make it perfect.

I love how Greg gets the last word in both chapters so far. It's like having a biased narrator with his own agenda.

Oh that is great. What a lovely exchange between well known characters. Different angle, different scene, but canon responses and very believable. The true test is when you can hear their voices, and I most definitely could reading this lovely first chapter. Very gratified that it's first in a story.

Awww and now with season three Mary is so damned lovable it makes this even more heartbreaking

The whole Mary stillborn thing is something I've read about before. I don't know if it's cannon, if it is it's dreadfully sad. And still somehow wistful. Like after all that John can still laugh and smile, enjoy his crazy life.

Okay I got the teentiest but confused as per why Sherlock and John were participating in PT, but I did love it so kudos on the epic BAMF!John writing skills!

Hehe, John is epic! Aww, I like how you made Mary Morstan someone John had already known from the war, that was an interesting way to have it. So sad, though!
