I really loved this! Love seeing Barnaby getting dragged to a carnival by Kotetsu. The ending was sweet and this story had me smiling. :)

january sunshine chapter 1 . 5/21/2012
This fic was really cute! I didn't expect that with the title or even how serious it would be, but I was pleasantly surprised! I really enjoyed it. Your characterization was spot-on and delving into the mess that was Barnaby's broken mind was a very neat trip. The only issue I had was how some parts, like the spinning rides, were described as "things" and rather vaguely. I wasn't sure if you were describing them as Barnaby's thoughts or if you just didn't want to go into detail, but I think it would have been stronger if there was more description for those parts. But other than that, I really liked it!

Well. I really enjoyed that. :) We don't just love Kotetsu because he's goofy and silly, a hero we can look up to, but because he genuinely cares and tries to take care of you. I saw him more like a father figure in this towards Barnaby, especially when poor Barnaby was throwing up after that ride. (I don't blame him, poor guy...) I love that he was dragged to a carnival too! And you made it an adventure. Well, it was. For Barnaby. It was such a great read, I loved the way you wrote them all. Poor Barnaby needs to have more adventures like this, on things he missed out on as a kid. Really loved this, thanks for sharing! _

Wow, Farren, you're writing for the Tiger and Bunny fandom? *hugs self* Darn you and your expertise in writing ambiguously gay duos.
Tree Peony chapter 1 . 5/12/2012
I just realized that I mixed up my reviews for your two latest stories; I commented on "Flashback", calling it 'fun', when it was this one I meant to offer that praise to. My apologies.

Anyway, I'll just say it again here; the story's pretty cute. Barnaby is a bit unnatural in his - pardon my use of the word - bitchiness, but considering his frame of mind at this particular point in time, it's not all that surprising.

I've never even heard of funnel cake before, but now I want to have some (provided it actually exists?)

And I love it when relationships are kept touching and ambiguous instead of over-the-top and mushy. It makes it actually possible to envision the characters we all know and love acting that way, having those conversations, behaving like that.
