And the action has started up now 8D Having Masaki-san as the first enemy really caught me off guard. I thought he was just being an angry dad till Neku saw the noise. Ooh so Mr.H is leaving it to them...This wasan ecexciting chapter :'D

This right here is one of the cutest things I've ever read. This is why they are my absolute OTP ;-; I love how they can talk to each other and be a bit insecure but not totally afraid of telling each other the truth. And how they can just ask each other if they want to try and start dating -perfect.

After being on a camping trip for a few days this has just made my day!

I'm really enjoying this so far! I find it very sweet how you characterized Eri, with her being suspicious of Neku. And I like the pacing of the story as well - It feels chilled yet I know things with the pins might start up at any moment.

777 surprised me, but I thought it was plausible that Joshua returned him to 'life', seeing as he brought Rhyme back too.

And of course, I love Neku and Shiki's thoughts about each other. I can see how Neku would be kind of cautious and Shiki might still be self conscious.

Hope that the next update isn't too far off :)

Yay update! Hope Shiki remembers to let the others know the story she's telling Eri

I have been meaning to read this story for some time. I'm glad I finally had the chance to read it.

Your writing is very good overall. With a couple exceptions, the characterization was great. The dialogue flowed very smoothly, and the end of the original game meshed perfectly in with the beginning of the story.

A couple things that I suggest...

First, I think that you could add in more detail. The scene is supposed to be slow-paced if I'm not mistaken, so adding in images to truly bring it to life, should not be a problem. The actions of the characters were fine, but I think it would be good to describe their emotions, the scene around them, and so forth.

The characterization exception I mentioned was Joshua's note. Joshua seems far too...nice to Neku. Remember, he killed Neku twice at point blank range. He loves manipulating people. The note is far too innocent for our mischievous Composer.

In conclusion, a wonderful start. I liked the relaxing feel of the chapter, a calm before the storm. I also liked your explanations of how they came back to life. I'm looking forward to what Joshua and Sanae have planned.
