I never read modern-day AU fics, but I stumbled upon this one and wowzers, there's some heat in this one! Pretty funny seeing our DA characters in their new roles. I gotta say the relationship between Douglas and Anders just sizzles. You've worded their banter beautifully and the love-making bits are exquisite. Chapter 9 was hot! They are so sweet to each other and your word usage is great, no raunchy or explicit words. You know what exactly they are doing but you don't use crude (or even anatomical) words which I think often spoil lots of these types of fiction. The "feeling" evoked is much more important than the step-by-step "act". I read through to this chapter all in one shot because I couldn't put it down and wanted to pause at this lovely high. Now I'm sure the drama (as if there wasn't already!) begins! Can't wait to continue.

This is very well done. It's very difficult to pull out AU stories and I think this does the job very well. It's very easy to picture locations and people. I'm hoping there'll be more soon. I definitely see things from Douglas's POV, but at the same time I'm feeling so bad for Anders. 3

I like how you mix innuendo with serious dialog it makes everything more real

I was able to read two chapters in one go! And my head nearly exploded - why, Hawke, why(? Is he that afraid of having his heart broken? The damn phone, couldn't it call a bit later, AFTER Hawke explained everything!

Douglas is just adorable. He appears to be very powerful (rich owner of the popular club, spending a lot of money on clothes) and not afraid of anything (he quite nonchalantly admits that Coterie for years have been interested in hic club and it doesn't seem to bother him), but at the same time he has a soft spot for his friends and is just sweet (I LOVED the goofy grin, even now I'm picturing him with it). It's also sweet how much he fell for Anders.

I am curious how Anders will act in future chapters. I wonder if he knows that it was Hawke who gave such a big dotation for his clinic. Will he be afraid? Happy? Angry?

If anything happens, I'm going to stalk you on the other site! This story is great. I wanna see more!

Now I'm even more hooked that before. There are so many questions that demand answers! I will try and wait patiently those two weeks but you are giving me a hard time:)!

And I see that Hawke already fell head over heals for Anders:). Good, good.

I'm now looking foward for more!
