Oh god this one is absolutely so cute

I know this is old, but couple of tips:
1) Don't capitalize "she" in the middle of a sentence. After a period, yes. After a comma, no.
2) Choose a tense. If you're writing the main events in present tense, then you can use past tense, but all of your current events should agree. So: "she finds the room" if present tense; "she found the room" (as you have it) if past tense. **If you choose to write your main story in past tense, then events that happened prior to the ones you're showing us should be in past perfect.

Otherwise, interesting beginning, but it could be stronger if I weren't mentally thrown out of the suspension of disbelief every few words when the verb tense alters for no discernible reason.
