I always felt like Thenardier was there to show what NOT to be... although I guess "money is awesome" is a good thing to take away. :D

This is fabulously true. I love Eponine especially... She is pretty much me in a different life. And all Les Miz fics are sad, slashy, life lessons. I love them and balance them with funny Newsies slash because my mind is 100% in the gutter.

I love this. Especially Gavroche's. I wish less people would underestimate ME because of MY size...My shorter friend and I were almost robbed on the street the other day (we're 14. I'm 5'2" and she's barely 5'0"...yeah, they grow us frikken tall here in Canada, so we're basically midgets), probably because of our sizes. Of course, when I looked their leader in the eye as they were walking towards us, they all backed down before they could even surround us (there were 4 of them). Like you said, NEVER UNDERESTIMATE LITTLE PEOPLE!

I like this. Les Misérables is the kind of story that you can learn a lot from.

I only wish Thénardier could have taught what greediness will do to you - he had a decent life at the inn, before he landed in Paris and resorted to robbing corpses and traveling via sewer.
