avieryfriend chapter 1 . 5/1/2016
Another good one shot. Love Face's sensitivity and yet he is a man of many layers, deep and private, yet yearning to be loved and accepted. Always brave, yet he seems to be always in the background.

Long Live BRUCAS chapter 1 . 6/5/2012
Face picked a blade of grass and began fiddling with it. "I was just thinking how lucky the kid is. Did you see how much his family and the others care about him?"

"Yeah," Hannibal smiled. "The perfect mix of love and discipline."

Tossing the grass aside, Face focused on his hands instead. "All I got as a kid was the discipline part."

Face doesn't realize he has that. The team is his family. But it took him being in a hospital to realize it. The team would never leave him alone if he was hurt. He should of told them sooner.

Great take on the part when Face was hurt.(just watched that ep on Netflix last night)
Sandilynn Petersen chapter 1 . 6/5/2012
Very good. I could picture every movement every person made. Dialogue was great. I like the additional glimpse into Face's background via this story. I imagine that did happen in an orphanage, kids being left to fend for themselves a lot. It's what happens in overcrowded school classrooms so why not in an orphanage? The interaction between B. A. and Murdock and between Hannibal and Face was perfect. I really enjoyed this.

Among my favorite lines:

"When I was hurt or sick at the orphanage, I was left in a room by myself…and that's if they even noticed."

...

"Damn," he cursed under his breath. "How could I have been so blind?"

"Probably the reflection off of B.A.'s gold," Murdock quipped. "Happens to me all the time."

"Shut-up, fool, or I'll shove some of that gold down your throat."

...

You don't know how much I look forward to your stories.
