Wow, wow, wow! What a tale! I must say, at first I was a bit curious and worried on how Olivia was going to fit into this universe but, you did an absolutely wonderful job! Olivia's character shows an odd type of development that is incredibly realistic. She does not change too much from who she is; rather, she adapts to fit in-she matures as a person as she truly learns what life is like where she now lives. Now, it is the relationships between the characters that I LOVE!

Ciana and Olivia: They truly shared a relationship that can be seen among siblings and, in a sense, it was almost as if Ciana was the oldest sibling looking out for her unruly younger one. They worked together and learned to depend on each other. I think that Ciana was one of the first people that Olivia truly felt that she could trust without having to worry about the repercussions-something important for her character growth.

Gaspare and Olivia: I was a bit hesitant at first; but, who wouldn't be? A guard helping her in a dangerous prison?! I was honestly rather ready for him to turn his back to her and hand her in. However, I found their friendship important in the sense that it provided the idea that not everyone agrees with the tyranny that is going on. He could have, very easily, literally killed her off but he didn't. Rather he strove to make things right and I think that it was eye opening for Olivia to realize and see this.

Federico and Olivia: Don't EVEN GET ME START! They were perfect together. They flowed and were able to understand and read each other. They truly were the greatest of friends and it was Federico who made Olivia realize that this was REAL. Honestly, I teared up when he died. In a way, I almost hoped that things could have changed and that she would have maybe dated him. To me, it felt as if their relationship teetered between those lines. But, in the end, his realism was what made Olivia Olivia for this story.

Ezio and Olivia: LIKE DAMN SON. You really created a slow burn that worked and was realistic. They're feeling-the romantic ones-were so well developed that I could not wait for them to kiss! They were best friends that turned to lovers because they understood each other. It wasn't as if she was just a crazed fangirl who manipulated Ezio into thinking that she understood.

This story is incredibly close to perfect (it is impossible for a story to be perfect, lol) and I'm so happy that I was able to find it and read it!

Ive been having difficulty finishing storys about fan girls in ac.
But dam i couldnt put it down. And starying just before tragaty then showing how you got there was a good play. I got me invested.

I’ve had to have read this story a few times but why is it that the thought just occurred to me that when what’s-his-face yanked Olivia out of the future and dropped her in the past, while fixing the damage done by becoming a road pancake, that perhaps other things were fixed too? Like being able to get preggers? Because that would solve the whole Desmond problem right there. Besides I doubt the sorta-god would know that about her physiology so if he just put her back to ‘default human’ when he put her back together so he could drop her in the past then perhaps things were fixed that hadn’t meant to be fixed.

Overall enjoying the story, but some cannon notes if you ever feel like editing:
Ezio was 17 in 1476, so he'd be 15 now
Machiavelli is actually 10 years younger than Ezio (born 1469), though Ubisoft never gives a good explanation for how Machiavelli at 19ish was already a full assassin when he appears in Venice to help with Ezio's induction.

OMG LOVE IT! I almost never review due to my own love/hate relationship with words. I found this fic two days ago and binge read it with breaks only for work and sleep. I look forward to what your edits do to the piece. I am also looking forward to the completion of the sequel.

This was probably my favorite chapters of this story, this made my day and made me smile like an idiot. I LOVE slowburns and when the couple finally gets together I hope I am not left feeling disappointed and let me tell you I was not disappointed with this! I love you and how you write and the fact that you can make me root for a fictional couple so much!

Passionate/angsty kisses are some of the best kisses so basically Ezio's and Olivia's first kiss was perfection. You did such a good job building up to it you should be really proud! Their talk before the kiss was perfect and Olivia's turmoil was perfect, and you could feel the love they have for each other. Olivia running off and getting more clarity and Ezio feeling the sting of her "no" was also perfect.

Although I have to admit I was really worried that you would end the chapter with them not giving into their feelings and I'm so thankful you didn't do that because it would have been torture lol. (All hail Mario)

When Olivia kissed him a second time...I died, it was perfect and can I just say how much I LOVED that Ezio wanted to make sure she wasn't drunk before they continued further to make sure he had her full consent and how Olivia asked him for his full consent before they had sex too? Seriously I could hug you (...couples who respect and love each other stay together..) I knew from the way you wrote their sexual tension that you would do a great job with their first time and you did. You wrote their love scene really well.

But of course you had to leave it at a cliff hanger and a painful one! Lol I expected it to happen but it still hurt, now I can't wait for their reunion (and reunion sex) :p The present day stuff was all great too, always love me some Desmond.

This is an incredible story! So beautiful written and well done. All the characters, both in game and out, have grown so beautifully that this is almost like it’s own book. The story is so intricate and well crafted with great attention to detail and continuity. I love Olivia now more than ever, and it’s amazing to see that she started out as a girl playing zombie video games with her friends to a character that is so original in design, flaws, secrets, and bravado that I wish I could play her and see more of her. If only she would open up to Ezio! Her fears of him rejecting her are only fears meant to get in her way.
You’ve done such a wonderful job on the story and I’d love to see this book wrapped up. If anything, let us know how AC2 ends! Keep up the beautiful work, I love your Ezio and Olivia the most.
