I can't find the words to express how much I really, really liked this story. That last bit was especially poignant. Even the little things you threw in, like the influx of babies named after the Animorphs... It just sorta never occurred to me before, but it made so much sense that that would happen and I just had an 'aha' moment.

Loved this! I've always thought that the Berenson family as a whole would never heal from Rachel and Tom's deaths- and then for Jake to disappear three years later... Naomi and Dan at least had Jordan and Sarah with them, Steve and Jean lost both their children.

Loved it. Loved it so much. I thought there was a lot of insight into Steve's character here and you're absolutely right...the parents don't get enough love. I'm glad someone wrote this.

Just lovely! I always wondered how Steve and Dan interacted with Dan being divorced and away most of the time. While I imagined their relationship would be strained because Jake sent Rachel to die, I didn't think as much about Rachel and Tom. I guess Steve doesn't want to lay any blame on his remaining son's already overburdened shoulders. I would love insight into the other Animorphs' fathers' post-war lives; I think Cassie's parents get the least love.

Hope may be delusional, but it's all they've ever had. This is so good! The animorphs may have suffered, but their parents lost alot, too. Nice! XD
