I really like the premise, but im definitely meh about this wand. Then again I fall into the category of people who feel as though the wand was a piece of scum that chose the horcrux and not the wizard. Was willing to work with Harry because of the connection through the horcrux with voldemort and it's twin. Which is why I feel like Harry's most amazing magic was done when the wand literally had no choice but to pony up.

What happened to the promised visit to the hospital and it is inconceivable that they wouldn't have kitted him out with a full wardrobe - he only had the clothes he was standing in after all and they were rags. They are upset about his treatment but don't make sure he has everything he needs plus plenty of background books about the wizarding world? Completely implausible. You are treating your readers with contempt.
