Reviews for What Happened Before |

![]() ![]() ![]() WOW! Absolutely loved ️️️ your story. Your writing is very in-depth and you transition between characters point of view in just the right way. I love how you fully took advantage of "Emrys" as Immortal and letting Merlin, Arthur, and the reader see exactly how powerful his destiny/magic is for him to not just come back from a drowning, but where every bone in his body is broken. Soooo didn't suspect Mordred in the end. I have the scene where Merlin stands amidst the storm as he flash freezes the water burned into my mind's eye. Someone needs an illustration of that! I cried when Merlin and Arthur struggled with the decision over life and death of Mordred and Morgana. I can definitely see you self publishing a bound book of the 3-4 stories in your series (with illustrations). I think all together was 1,100 pages. Again, thank you so much for giving the world your story. Storytellers are the true magicians! |
![]() ![]() I love your writing! You write with a perfect blend of humor, heart, and action. There's plenty of introspection an character development, but it never gets tiresome. Lovely story! Thank you for sharing it! |
![]() ![]() MERLIN - IS GONE |
![]() ![]() ![]() this was absolutely amazing. I just got through this series, if you call it that, and it made me laugh, cry, and just woah, you're a super talented writer. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well written & totally engaging |
![]() ![]() Excellent story. Thanks so much. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for the story. Sorry I'm not as good at wrong reviews as you are at writing stories! It was an enjoyable read and makes me want to see the series again :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() reading. confused as I don't recall the series too well now and I couldn't guess at all. |
![]() ![]() This is so brilliant. I've read all of the stories getting to this point and I have to say it's an amazing story. I think you do exposition and character study better than anyone I've read on this site and it was perfectly balanced in the previous stories. Although this story is starting to overdose on it a bit. I have no doubt we'll get to the good stuff, but it's starting to feel like we're rehashing things between Arthur and Merlin and we're covering the same ground. Really looking forward to finding out what the threat and how it is that Nimueh is still alive. I've got a guess on the boy (Mordred?) which makes it equally interesting. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh I loved this chapter, great job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Once again this was excellent. I love how Merlin is great at lying very very still and I am pretty sure he was also pretending to be drunk at the end there but it was a great conversation nonetheless. The sorrow at the ending of Mordred and Morgana was well written and I liked how you/Merlin acknowledged that it might not be for good. Something further could still happen because destiny is a cruel slave driver. So once again nice job. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I really like Merlin's last thought speeches. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice! I love the ending! I was honestly bored with the first few chapters And i felt exhausted reading someone else's mind and feeling someone else's feelingq I admit, though, that you're good with your character assessments and such Although i was hoping there were more Gwaine scenes in the end... Hee Anyway, nice going! :D |
![]() ![]() That was incredibly epic! I was riveted from chapter one - certainly novel worthy :) well done |
![]() ![]() Okay, this was hilarious. It literally had me doubled up in laughter! And fabulous switch in tone, from lighthearted to worried, seamlessly and effectively. Great job! :) |
