This is beautiful. I really wanted to see the eye-arc from Doumeki's point of view, and you've done it so well here 3 His thoughts are perfect! - and I love how he doesn't say a lot, but is so emotional and so filled with love...the characterization is perfect. He's so sweet; and so is this whole fic.
"And he will always have it, Doumeki thought, pressing his hand over his heart. No matter what happens, he won't have to die alone." I'd never thought of that, but it's a gorgeous concept. A part of Doumeki is always going to be with Watanuki...of course, it kind of aches, too, because Doumeki has no idea what's going to go on later with Yuuko and Watanuki taking over the shop (in my headcanon the eye they share goes blind once Doumeki dies T_T)
Oh, Watanuki, why do you think sacrificing yourself is so trivial? (aww I loved both of their reactions at the end with the kiss :3)

Hahahaha.. Watanuki is really Watanuki. But Doumeki makes him a better person... In some sense... Wonderful story. _

Wow, I really love this. Doumeki is hard to do in character, but I think you did an excellent job with him here. The poor guy can't catch a break, but I think that one day Watanuki may get it ;) Especially if Love Like You Wanted It is actually to the sequel to this! But anyhoo, please write more... anything will do!
