This is a fascinating story, with lots and lots of bright, deep, subtle and intricate details. It's also quite interesting to see both the boys through their weaknesses rather than through their strength. In fact, the only thing I don't really like about this version is that it devalues Gojyo's canon action of rescuing Cho Gonou - and that's a pity. Nevertheless, it's a very enjoyable text, thank you!

I haven't read anything on in a while, much less actually logged on. But I just wanted to say I remember reading this religiously at least three times over when I was younger. I was much too shy to leave a review, a fact which I've mostly gotten over, but I really do love it. I saw a mix on 8tracks based on this which reminded me. Anyways, just got done with another re-read, and it's just as engaging and entertaining as I remember. Thanks for sharing!

Everything was happy then it was sad then that end! Oh that ending was just everything! And Teenage Wasteland claims the throne as best fic I've ever read. There were so many great things in this. The depth to the characters that you displayed in your brilliant wordsmithing, the greatest oneliners I've ever encountered and some of the toughest suspense I've had to sit through. It's been a pleasure reading.

Well, this was an explosive chapter _ I agree with Hakkai...What next? Was this what the old women meant when she told Gojyo to stay close to Hakkai. Seemed to work here, but I'm sure you have more up your sleeves. Thanks for the chapter.

Interesting. I was afraid Wu was up to something. There were lots of good one liners like, "Called it." and "I'm flattered that you always just assume I know…" that made me smile and chuckle.

I'm interested in knowing what's going to happen next. Will Hakkai end up with Kanan? Or is there more trouble around the corner. What will Gojyo do now? I mean, Dasha is gone. Wu is gone, which I assume he doesn't have to worry about the wanted posters anymore. And now the Hallmarks of Discord are gone, right?

This was a fantastic chapter! You always get the characters perfectly! I'm always thrilled to see an update to any of your Saiyuki fics!

And yes, Gaiden is terribly sad. I cry every time.
