I'm sure someone has said this but in greek mythology there are a handful of creatures that can cause petrifications, medusa is a prime example :) but i won't argue with ya good writing so far.

Noticed a mistake in the story. You mentioned that Dumbledore's empty cell wouldn't be noticed until months later, but then a few paragraphs later you wrote that it only took a week for them to notice he went missing.

I just realized this, but Harry's sword is made of stygion iron. That makes it completely different to celestial bronze and imperial gold weapons, seeing as those metals turn monsters into dust. Meanwhile, "stygian iron will literally drain the life force of its target until there is nothing left and it is absorbed into the blade." Meaning that the monster won't be able to go back to Tartarus and reform.

I hope you realized that Luna already showed them the Room of Requirement but in this chapter they had no clue about it till Severus mentioned it to Harry then he talked to Rowena
