You seem to have a "pattern" of having Caine retire after all that's happened in your story..It's like, you can't have him do anything else or having him STAY and be the boss, boss? Why..

I can't believe someone could be THAT STUPID! Seriously, a pyscho abuser is out to get you and you go off on your own..He deserve what he's going to get and be done too..I can't sympathies with someone that idiotic..Seriously! He's just asking to be beaten and raped and anything else from anybody..

Someone beat you, you sue or get their ass's behide bars..You don't hide it due to ego..Pathetic. It's like he sending a message to be abused and beaten again...He's like, asking for it..I know it's harsh but that's the message he's sending out..To let a abuser free, what do you think will happen? Bad writing there.

So, I finished the whole thing. Well written! The court scenes and whole back-plot was one of the best I've read in R/H fics. Also, your H was more in character (IMO) and seemed to ring a bit more true than some others I've read. There was a good balance between things. I also like how the domestic violence plot isn't a throw-away back plot and it's given a more serious consideration (a personal pet peeve of mine is where people use serious things like rape, suicide, etc and write it in a very silly, frivolous way). Anyway, there's not a lot of R/H fics, but I think yours are some of the best! Just wanted to say, good job! :-)
