I agree with you about the show's ending, seriously, what a way for the writers to derail EVERYONE'S character development. Dair and Serenate should have been endgame because they each honestly built each other up. Anyways, this was lovely and I'm glad to have stumbled across it. Also, I absolutely adore that quote in the summary and all the incredibly apt allusions in the writing.

This story was just BEAUTIFUL. This is exactly what should've happened.

this was a really good story! bravo! i love the way you write. my fav scene was when serena was crying in her hotel room after kicking nate out. little did she know that he was on the other side of the wall sitting there listening. beautiful.

This was painfully perfect. Serena just breaks my heart in so many ways. She's never needed saving more than she does right now and I wish Nate would be the one to do it. Since I doubt that'll happen on the show, thank you for writing this.

How do I write something about a chapter and story that leaves me speechless and breathless?

Simply put, this was beautifully and lovingly crafted. It reads like an epic poem rather than a narrative. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me smile. I know I will read this story again and again, for all those reasons. I especially loved "Maybe you aren't just the love of my life. You are also my home." The perfect ending.

You're an amazing author and I hope you have more stories in the future. Thanks for writing and sharing this one. *hugs*

It was such a sweet end to this story. I loved all the references to summer. I know I've said it before, but it really is the best metaphor for those two.
