The character work in this story is bad. Characters change from one chapter to the next, hell from one scene to the next, with no thiugh given to making it organic. You basically let your plot write the characters, or at least you didnt convey their emotional journey well enough for it to matter.

This would be an amazing story if you took more time to develop the characters and situations more gradually. As it is this isn't a bad story but it's so rushed it's hard to feel any connection at all

The Trauma I understand, but wow I didnt know a few days of torture could make a person suddenly become kind and considerate.

Okay, so I enjoyed this a bit. But there are a few glaring issues that kept me from really loving it. One is that you avoid actual fight scenes in favor of more angst way too much. The idea of Aang having such a level of hatred for this Lao is so out of character that it's insane.

My other issue is that, sure Azula gets to stay her 'delightfully evil self' but my god she gets the short end of the stick so much it's unreal. She gets captured two times here, which is simply ridiculous. I get that she doesn't have her bending, but come on the second time she's captured nobody should even know she's in the city. Is that plot element ever even explained, how Long Feng even knew Azula was there when seemingly nobody had recognized her?

Also, how did Azula even get into the city? I seem to recall you needing a permit to do so, then she gets free reign to travel to the upper ring to see Iroh, which would also require clearance. There's just so many things wrong with that entire section of the story that I honestly don't care to point them all out.

There's a few typo's as well. A lot of instances to "too" being incorrectly used in place of "to." Also, when you say something like "he use to know what to do" it should be "used."

TL:DR I didn't hate this fic, and I enjoyed Aang and Azula together (even if their relationship seems to revolve around sex) but it's not something I'd recommend or read again myself.

story is amazing, just don't use awesome power of avatar , it throws off the serious mood of thr story.

Fantastic; This is a great example of how Azula/Aang can work while still keeping their characterizations in tact.

Aang's basically saying if Lao pulls a Zhao and attacks after Aang wins honorably, then Lao may die.
