Okay,. I had to read this, even thought I usually avoid works that are on hiatus or unfinished. I read your completed pre-quel to this "how did it come to this" and realized you were doing a re-imagining of the series. I've read several fics over the years where someone tried to do a re-write of the Yu-gi-oh anime with puzzleshipping but most just didn't work for me. This story is REALLY good. I have to say this one is the best by far that I have had the pleasure of reading. I like the way you are combining the anime and manga as well as adding your own twist. I love the fact that Season 0/first manga arc is included. I absolutely LOVE the Yami and Yugi relationship and the fact that they are together even before Duelist Kingdom. And Yugi has a BEWD card & Exodia, YEAH! I can tell you put a great deal of thought and effort into the card duels and info as well as a characterizations. I am extremely interested in how you write the rest of the series, How will. the Yami/Kaiba duel at Pegasus castle go. Will it cause issues with Yugi and Yami's relationship or will you write handle it a bit differently? What will be Yami's reaction when Yugi passes out during the duel with Pegasus? And top on my list I realllyyy want to see how you do the Waking the Dragons arc since I hate the fact that Yugi was in less than half of that season (GRRR). I saw from your profile that you have been active this year so I'll just say that I'm really glad your working on your stories again and that I truly hope as real life and your muse permits that you will write some more of this wonderful series of stories. Thank you for posting this great story.
