I have been a fan of Tales of Symphonia since I was 13 years old (almost 27 now). The creativity of this story you have founded with the version of Zelos having to go through the regeneration journey is quite enthralling. Zelos is and always has been my favorite character and your capturing of his character is spot on. I love reading fanfiction and constantly in search of worth-while stories to read about this game, and look forward to reading this through to the end. I really hope you haven’t given up on this. I’m attached to the story-line and encourage you to continuing writing to its conclusion!

Took me long enough to notice there was an update...

This chapter holds up to the quality and drama of your previous chapters, and certainly tells us a lot about the character of Raine Sage in this alternate universe. While not new ground for this fic, seeing Raine's relationship differ with Lloyd, Kratos and Zelos from the original story is incredibly interesting.

I do have one question on my mind though- is healing magic something that is not as readily usable in this reality?

Regardless, looking forward to any future updates to this story, thank you so much for even just this one added chapter!

Dear God the story Lives! it is really intressing about the back story of the Previous Chosen god it sucked to be them and it would have happend in the past in the game aswell i mean not all acted or were willing as Colette. so now we have most all of the main characters from the game execpt for Colette,Genis and Presea

An absolutely impeccably written fic, with an intriguing plot hook to boot with plenty of substantiation and changes made- convincingly- to enamor a reader. Succinct but detailed. I just hope it continues to see updates at some point, this story was going places..

Okay so, I just clicked the link you put down on tumblr and WOW okay you have some FANTASTIC WRITING IN THIS! like? It's like I'm reading a book professionally done and- I really REALLY need to read more and I'm sO exited to start the next chapter! This is like 10/10 good. Freaking. Reading material- the stuff I normally read doesn't even match up to this level

This is a fantastic story.

I have to admit, I probably have an unhealthy obsession with this game, and have read far too many fan fictions for it. However, this is one of the best I've seen. Everyone is so in-character, even with the way you've changed the storyline. I'm really impressed.

I love what you've done with the main storyline. You didn't just do a simple "reverse everything" storyline by having Tethe'alla undergo the regeneration; you took the true essence of the game's storyline and applied it to different circumstances. Regal is fantastic the way you portray him. He has his innate nobility and honor, and his character is very interesting without having killed Alicia. Lloyd and Kratos were intriguing as well. Even knowing that Kratos is his father, Lloyd still has the optimism and idealism that makes him so endearing. As for Zelos, I could gush about your portrayal of him all day. You captured his inner thoughts and feelings as best as I've seen anyone in fan fiction. His sarcasm and bitterness are spot-on, and I find myself both laughing and crying at his words, actions, and feelings.

I can't wait to see how this story progresses. Please, keep up the excellent work, and thank you for writing such a wonderful story.

I've been following this story(albeit without an FF account) since you first started it, and just want to say that I'm happy to see that it has updated...all the waits for chapters are rewarding~

AHHHH THANK YOU for this story I cried so much reading some of the latter chapters... I think your characterization of Zelos is spot on. This is awesome. I really look forward to seeing more of this, this a gem. You are a gem.

I can't even count how many times I audibly cracked up reading this. xD

You've got such a wonderful grip on the characters, and I can't wait to see who or what comes in next. I also adore everything terrifying and emotionally crippling about Gabriella, and hoe you explore Zelos's psyche through her as well. I always wanted to know more about how Zelos and Regal got along before the game. I love your take on it! Regal is just so gentle with Zelos, somewhere between surrogate father or brother. It's a nice sort of foil to Kratos and Lloyd.

I'm glad we saw more of Sheena in this chapter. She seemed kinda off before, and I could only say that Zelos' relationship with her was weird and conflicted and it wad kind of troubling because I didn't understand it at all. We saw glimpses of motherly affection and incomprehension, but now it is a little more defined. And I'm glad that she got to be the one to discover Zelos condition like Lloyd was with Colette in the original game.
I hope that we will eventually get the full versio of Sheena and Zelos first meeting and how they get to their current situation even if Sheena had made things a lot clearer by explainig why she joined the party. But I am not sure I quite get the thing with her parents. They were summoners from Mizuho and tried to destroy Volt's temple while abandoning, that's it ?

Well, it was nice to see a new chapter so soon and the addition of Regal to the cast is really useful. I'm curious to see how this will all evolve from now. Keep up the good work.

I definitely like your characterization. I'm eager to see how Regal will now contrast the picture as an adult who knows and care for Zelos. Because despite knowing him Sheena is quite ... biaised to say the least.
Anyway, your writing is very good, nothing to say about it. Keep up the good work.

And Zelos! Eeee! I'm so glad he's letting Regal come along. I mean, I'm assuming he does... but just the thought that Zelos is allowing someone who knows him to come along. To have someone there who knows when he's faking it and possibly why. It's fantastic!

In the end I couldn't go to sleep before reading this chapter as well. Waking up will be so fun in a few hours ... Anyway, you picture Zelos greatly, really. His womanizing ways even manages to piss me off. I want to scream in his face "Stop staring at Presea like that, you pervert ! Sheena should hit you much harder !"
I really do sympathize for him though. His only "friend" said quite terrible things, back at the campfire the first night of his transformations, and then before the guards caught them. Not to mention the show at the hospital. Okay he was being selfish, but you don't have to push him like that towards death like it means nothing at all ! Seriously, what's wrong with Sheena and Zelos ?
Well, concerning Zelos it's quite understandable ... His attitude is what I would expect from him if he was to undergo the regeneration trial, but he's still the guy with the mask. The changements that appear from time to time, when he seems to lose control over himself ... I quite don't understand them yet. Does that give him a rest from the angelic form that is taking him over ? Or does it come down to flips of his mask without him being able to control it ?
That aside, I'm pretty interested into what Duke Bryant has to speak with him. The answer soon I hope ! :)
