I agree that I was confused as to why the dragons were suddenly in cages. There was no explanation at all. But this fic I think provides a reasonable answer.

I agree Hiccup would be resistant to caging them, even if it was for the best. Nice to see that Toothless is used to say that it's okay. The emotion felt real and well done.

Overall, this was well written and thoughtful. I'm glad people are taking notice of the TV show and using that as inspiration to grow the fandom. :)
