I like the idea of all wands that had the same core donor having a high affinity with the person.

Theoretically, the fixing incident CAN be achieved using just telekinesis.

You're staying very close to canon. Sometimes fanfic authors have the students wear school uniforms, even down to prescribed socks. But canon says only "robes", protective gear aside. I don't think canon ever says whether students even wear anything under their robes. So, very well done in keeping within canon for things not influenced by the kids' different upbringing!
