A timeless story! remembered I read this a few years back and still it's one of the best.

This was lovely! You did such a great job giving no face a voice, it was easy to imagine that this was exactly his thought process during the movie. The ending was wonderful, it made me smile when he met up with Chihiro. :)

This was so beautiful and pure. The characterization was perfect. You can so clearly feel No-face's emotions, to the point where it brought me to actual tears in some places. Thank you for sharing this amazing work with us!

I really liked this! No-Face is definitely one of the weirdest and most interesting parts of Spirited Away and I was pleasantly surprised to find such a long story about him. He's such a mystery that really it seems he could have come from anywhere...the fact that his origins here are nebulous and yet have a twinge of familiarity is very inkeeping with his portrayal. At first I was getting kind of a creepy vibe from his obsession with Sen, but it turned into more pity than anything that he is so empty he needs and hungers so much. His growth throughout the fic is very intruiging to see develop. If I had one little nitpick, you mention the scene with the toad foreman, but then later on keep mentioning the toad-man when it's actually the human manager who gets eaten by No-Face. It's a really small detail, I know, it just stuck out to me. I really liked how Zeniba isn't even phased when No-Face's "body comes in" and she just rolls with it. That's so perfectly in-character for her it made me smile.

The ending, when he finally speaks, was so perfect. That was just...ugh. I'm reeling over how neatly you wrapped it up. Endings are often quite tricky, but that was just such a great way of finishing things.

ahhhhh, my heart; it seems to be in pieces. beautiful writing and an enrapturing story. i most certainly did cry, though im not too sure why. perhaps it was because of the 'what-could-have-been' between no-face and chihiro that brings my heart towards my mouth. anyways, i fell deeply in love with this, just so you know.

I love this story so much! I dislike that Chihiro and Haku didn't end up together, but I can get past that. It was an amazing idea to have it be part-movie, part-future. And totally canon-compliant ;)

Also, it was a great idea to have the bodies No-Face ate be what caused him to do evil in the bathhouse. Great idea. And the ending... it was so original! You have a great imagination. The slow transformation from a shadow to a human was PERFECT.
