| Solatium chapter 1 . 3/16/2004 This story has got all the right elements: a fresh concept, plenty of angst (or maybe pathos; I'm not clear on the distinction), dead-on characterization, and a readable length. I especially like how you captured Starsky's and Huggy's speech patterns. Constructive criticism: The misdirection was a little labored, and the accompanying revelation seemed to come at arbitrary point in the narrative. But perhaps the most constructive thing (for all involved) that I can say is: Write some more of these! |

I don't normally read gen- I'm an unabashed slasher- but any story with a focus on a relationship is interesting, and the title and sumarry caught my eye as well- I've an interest in the human psyche. You carried the premise out exquisitely, and as much as I would love to offer something constructive, I just couldn't think of a thing that needed improving. _ |
