Sorry man, but this just isn't the characterization of Jon I wanted to see. Your story was great while you were writing it, and I enjoyed many parts of it. Just...Jon is such an underwhelming character in this, and he's the one you listed in your summary. I see no reason for Arthur keeping that secret from Jon. If Jon knew, he would have much more prepared in case anyone ever found out. Yes, there is safety in his ignorance, but only if Arthur, a very recognizable figure, was never spotted and identified. Also, Arthur really stunted his social and mental development by having him believe that his bastardy would hold him back in all aspects of life. I feel like you made every other character than Jon into some powerful, unshakable figure. And Jon is just some naive child. Like I said, your story is wonderful, but Jon's parts are so underwhelming that I just don't care for them.
