I really like the Octavian/Jason friendship/hate thing in this chapter. I love how octavian is portrayed!

Wow. Musa's completed a multi-chapter fic. O.O The apocalypse is clearly upon us. I mean, I know it's only drabbles, but still. O.O

This is a good ending to it. Ambition is certainly the most appropriate prompt to end on. I get the feeling Octavian is the type to never ever learn his lesson, and I think this communicates that element nicely.

There are a few tense errors - one minute it looks like you're writing in the present tense, the next it's the past, so that's just a little confusing.

Octavian's smugness is very well portrayed. XD He really is a smug snake.

Overall, this has been a decent character-exploring drabble set, and there was even a bit of Rachel/Nico in there. How you managed to get that in will forever be beyond me. XD

Ahhh, I'm really starting to like Octavian :)

So I'm reviewing two chapters at once. Some would call this short-cutting, I call it economy of effort! XD

The one with Rachel and Nico was rather hilarious. The deep, awkward silence that fell was priceless. :D

Also the Star Wars reference. Can't beat it.

The one with Jason was interesting. The idea that Octavian actually wants Jason on his side adds a bit more depth, and it makes Octavian less of the typical schemer-rival-troublemaker type and someone with whom the reader can sympathise more easily. Nicely done.

Overall, good drabbles. I'm even more impressed by the update rate!

I liked it. It was a sort of bittersweet peek into Jason and Octavian's history and relationship which I don't think anyone's tried to explore before.

I especially liked the part where Octavian spoke about the Greeks' weaknesses. You portray his manipulative nature excellently!

Octavian's frustration was extremely comical, I loved how Nico rushed to Rachel's defense and the general sort of immature portrayal of Rachel.

Oaky. Now I'm imagining them reacting to Nico more, and to Rachel when she goes all Oracle.

Hmm, I wonder how Nemisis feels about this. I mean, the whole thing with Kronos must make her on Zeus' bad side, and now she's helping the evil chess master. Nah, I think she's enjoying it. Messing with two camps for the price of one.

And the spa. Someone should make a comment about guinea pigs for Reyna's sake.

So this is what Octavian's worst nightmare would look like.

Hoo boy, and he's talking about upping his strategy. He does know that Annabeth will gut him like a fish? An, well. The best life lessons you learn are the ones you pick up on your own.

Like trying to get revenge on a Greek whose girlfriend is very handy with a sharp knife. And has an invisibility hat. Thinsg tend to go wrong there of you're the bad guy in question.

Yay for more Octavian!

He's the first proper Chessmaster of any nature that we've seen in PJO, I think, and that is what makes him so interesting. What I like about this drabble is how thoroughly you get across his deep condescending scorn for everyone else. The way he calls everyone by their surname, as if he's so high above them, is nicely done.

The glee at the growing conflict is also very apt, I think. I keep expecting him to break into loud, echoing Villainous Laughter.

Poor Percy. Octavian /really/ hates him. I smell revenge. XD
