It's sad to know the rest of the cast died though, it's like the death of an era every time I think about it. Immortal stories are also kings of the bittersweet.

Their reactions to Kenshin remaining unaffected by time would've been interesting - from his family and friends to his past rivals, like Saito and Aoshi. Telling the kids must've been kinda awkward, I wonder if they entertained the thought that Kenshin was some supernatural creature.
No doubt Kenji must've been a nightmare about it lol

I'm glad Hiko retained it too, the thought of them traveling together makes me happy. At least they won't be alone!

Love the concept! The story is tight & well-written. The dynamics between Hiko & Kenshin are portrayed very nicely.

This reminds me of chapter seven of Promenade by Ocianne. Immortal fics make one sad and happy at the same time, though more bittersweet than anything. At least Kenshin's not alone. Not like others I've seen. It doesn't make it any less sad though.
