so beautiful story

I have a bad habit of reading the last chapter whenever I smell something fishy in the summary or in the comments.

I cried nonetheless. I may continue to be a coward and not read the whole story, but every time I'll hear Breaking Benjamin's song, this story will always pop up I my head and my heart is going to break.

I suppose I should take comfort about the fact that none of this happened canonically.
I would have wanted the manga and anime itself focus on character developments for characters like Sai in this depth without necessarily dying, but you did a great job in painting his character in a way Sai fans would love. Thank you :)

I binge-read this and honestly had tears running down my face at the end. I've read fics where characters die and it feels frustrating, but this felt completely different - I totally wouldn't mind reading (and crying) again.
Sai is one of my favorite characters, and this is one of the few fics that does him justice - so thank you for writing it!

First of all, I'd like to tell you how happy I am to see a Filipino (Filipina?) writer who writes so very freakin' awesomely, who uses Japanese terms without seeming weeabooish, uses authentic kanji characters with legitimate and justified reasons, and pushes through things even if they don't seem to sit well with you. Thank you for posting this up this site even with your reservations at first; wonderfully-written stories about Sai are quite rare, this one came out as more than a treat. Napakaraming salamat! :D

Second, f*ck you! Why the friggin' hell did you kill him! Why why why why?! TTATT you made me (and plenty others) read through your fic for hours only to find that he DIED?! broke my heart at 2 AM! waiiiiiiiiiiii! ~/ (it ended on a bittersweet note. Sai was just too perfect in your story. still the adorkable Sai we love and want to smack) Just... sfgsdgfvkshdfv

Third, I love how you created a blood limit for him in this story and manage to pierce it through so many canon information. Like, whoa, used his ueber paleness as an effect of using his blood limit? Another reason why Danzo had to put him in Team Kakashi as a "replacement" for Sasuke? His affinity for art and the use of it as a technique as a cover for what he's truly capable of? The use of the picture book as a more powerful key to unlocking what he truly is? Do I have to continue? Brilliant writing, no words could express how cool it all was. Wanna be talented like you XD

I'd like to say more on how this story of your captured my heart, but my lit teachers didn't teach us how to review a story via finer technical means, and i'm a lazy sort of person whose head blanks out when thinking of something, and i'm sorry if all i could say is how fascinating your piece(s) is(are), and i hope you don't get offended nor discouraged by it. It felt a bit weird to see the Hokage addresed ANBU by their names, not masks.
And... well, sure, the dazzling sunshine will be mortifying to the ones who work in darkness. Trust Naruto to keep his (their) ANBU status an open secret. and more.*giggle*

when Sai called him "dobe" and Sasuke called him... that... should I be horrified? I mean, they're compatible to each other? Seriously? SERIOUSLY? *shudder*

This was one of the first fanfics I ever read and I remember being completely flashed. I had never expected to read something as deep and emotionally involving as your story here on this site. Your portrayal of Sai is unique in its depth and authenticity and I never found anything quite like this ever again - nevermind the fact that the poor lad, who in my opinion is one of the most interesting characters in the manga, is terribly neglected in fandom anyways.

Your story made me unable to put it down, had me crying and yet left me with a sense of fulfillment that is unparalleled until today. Your stories of Sai, yes, I read them all, have seamlessly incorporated themselves into my headcanon and sometimes I have to consciously remind myself that canon Sai never got the attention and care that he was given in your stories.

Thank you for writing this beautiful piece of art. I wish you the best in whatever you're doing now and hope that you're still writing.
