great story!

You have no idea how THRILLED I was to discover that one of my favorite Garcy writers has a whole account full of Mentalist fics. The Mentalist was my first fandom (I wonder if I read any of your fics back then? We'll see if I recognize any!), and the memories are just... Ahhhh I miss that show.
This fic is lovely, and much-needed. And the SNUGGLES WERE PERFECT AND SOFT AND BEAUTIFUL!

I enjoyed this story. Though I think Lisbon was not necessarily broken over Lorelei's admission of Jane and her being lovers in the show, I think the whole post Lorelei scenario was written well, specially the much needed scene in the attic. I remember not being able to decide what was worse, Jane knowing Lorelei working for Red John before he slept with her or not knowing it, when I first watched this episode. But for Lisbon, I see why him knowing it was more relieving than not knowing it. I like the fact that you did not overly dramatize her reaction and didn't make her go in to a crazy fit!

Also, I love it when Jane is there for Lisbon in any way that portrays that he treasures her for the angel she is, so i enjoyed the last scene too.
Good writing altogether.

That was really lovely! Enjoyed the Lorelei conversation - that he knew she was RJ's girl from the start (hard to believe otherwise imo), and Lisbon's response. And loved Jane thinking about donating his brain to science and looking forward to eggs as he lies with her. Thanks for writing. :-)

I've been reading old fics, and this one really stands out. So quiet, yet so much said. "He wanted to pull her into his arms, wanted to know what it felt to hold her without worrying that he was accidentally going to kill her" This pretty much sums up Jane's problem. I like your "Jane" voice very much.

this. was. adorable. exactly how i wished it would happen! so fantastic! and the whole RJ thing is what i have to keep reminding myself.. i know that something awful would happen to lisbon if they got together.. and its nice how their relationship is just hugs & sitting close & sometimes holding hands.. i think you really captured the importance of those little moments between them... so overall, FANTASTIC

This puts Jane's and by extension Lisbon's love and friendship in such high definition. I loved reading it.

went to your space to find poison so I can pretend that my failure to review earlier justifies blowing off work so I can do so (and, well, I was hoping I would find some other treasures from you to read), but the truth is there won't be time for a while...I should be sleeping so I can keep working (don't ask). Anyway, I saw Abs & Eggs here, which I liked so much that I remembered reading it during earlier stolen time (and more than just for the aural-aliteration). Anyway, I'm sorry your novel didn't make you rich-but no one's first does (ask JGrisham how well T to K sold before he wrote The Firm)-but if the interim result (i.e., the time between now and when you do hit it big) adds quality to this landscape, then I'm going to simply enjoy it while you are here. Thanks for bringing the joy.
