This was a great, well-written, poignant scene. I love Gibbs' calm demeanor and pragmatism, but also his "hell-bent stare" and his slow, deliberate words, asking McGee if he lets just anyone on to his team. Thanks for sharing this scene - it would fit perfectly into an actual episode.

im waiting for a mcgee and gibbs scene too... we hve seen all the characters with gibbs outside of work but never tim. i hope they decide to put one in season 10...cant wait..anyways cool story..

This was fantastic! Tim's dreams are not surprising, given his brush with death, nor is it surprising that he is finding it difficult to talk to someone about how he feels. Knowing how hard it is for McGee to go to Gibbs, it's clearly the perfect thing to do. I love, love, love the entire scene in Gibbs' basement of psychotherapy and wood-sanding!

Very nicely done. Yeah I could see Tim having trouble with this and yes its not the first time he has survived something he shouldn't have. Even his car crash at 16 sounds pretty bad. And the team wouldn't be used to Tim being the one hurt and in hospital so their patterns to how they handle things would be off too.
Any chance of another one shot? Maybe somehting from Tonys viewpoint in the hospital or the team as they watch Tim return to work? Obviously Gibbs has seen that Tim is struggling.

For a second there I thought you'd miraculously gotten your hands on a copy of the episode and I almost died of excitement. :D This was really well written, and it kind of nudged at all the plot points and all my worries. I liked this. I don't think there are nearly enough Gibbs/McGee moments or stories out there. Tim is often portrayed as weaker or frailer than I think he really is, but I think you did a nice job making him human in this piece, reliving what had to be a horribly traumatic moment. Nice job!
