This was a wild ride. Which escalated quickly, and should probably be rated T if not M. It definitely started feeling like a parody at the end, but that was a fun read.

While I see how this is meant to be funny, I found it closer to angsty. Its most likely the slow pace. But angsty because its just nonending suffering. They arent doing things to prevent any of this. Ginnys a selfish bint, Harry a coward, Hermione .. incompetent. They cant stoo the books, they cant attack the readers, they could kill skeeter but wont. Why wont they up and leave. Blame it all on money grubbing skeeter that they prefer to abandon britain and just go. I just wish they would do something right and effective. Yeah the whole point is to go through all the seven books but I dont think slow pace works. Despite the idea, this just isnt funny or enjoyable to read. Frustrating yes. I dont want to feel that on my offtime.

Attention to detail is good and the setup and first chapter are great.
But then the story starts to drag and the tagged "humor" is scarce on the ground.

I love this story, especially how perfectly you got Harry's reaction to everything. You're right that the rampant-child-abuse fanfics are kind of ridiculous in that Harry's canon childhood is bad enough, though of course he wouldn't see it that way. I'm really hoping you continue the story and UPDATE SOON!

If practicing dark magic forces killing curses to backfire, then dark wizards like Voldemort would have been much more immune to Killing Curses.
I seriously dislike Rita. I can admit that Draco-Harry could be a possible pair... If Draco was not a brat. But Ginny is thoughtful and caring, not somebody using a love potion. And Oliver Wood was merely Quidditch Captain, not an infatuation. And Cedric and Viktor are other champions, maybe friends out of necessity, but not romantic.
Zabini and the like... I hope they get their own scandalous reveals. Will Rita mention in the second Harry-book that Hogwarts students were put in danger by actions of Lucius Malfoy? That Draco gleefully supported the Heir propaganda?
Comparison between official and scandalous books ought to be interesting. At least, it will make it easier to figure out truths, exaggerations and lies.
Zacharias Smith is a liar. Probably because he was inept in Defense. Couldn't cast Patronus, or something. So translated his jealousy of others into spiteful libel.

Harry _was_ Obliviated. I did expect that it was wrong of him to refuse to be checked for Obliviations. Maybe, Malfoy can pressurise Harry into being checked?

This is brilliant! This is the fic I wish I could have written, but I didn't know how to do it well. Fanfiction needs a mirror held up to it like this, plus, it's hilarious. I really hope you continue it.

You should see if you can work in the goblins solving everything for no apparent reason and Harry being richer than what ought to be physically possible.
