I see Sherlock’s and Lestrade’s relationship to be more father/son than romantic but this was beautiful. You kept both in character despite the fact that I can’t picture them as a couple, and your attention to detail is excellent. I especially love that ending with Lestrade tracing his fingers along Sherlock’s last note. Very touching moment!

A criticism: Lestrade calling Sherlock "lad" is too fatherly for a romantic relationship between the two. Therefore your story, for lack of a better word, gross. Your writing was good.
