I almost cry from your description of Minato's legacy, as though Minato is an actual person I know. How silly. But he is my favorite character in Naruto (I mean, a genius who didn't go berserk, stayed kind and didn't owe his strength and awesomeness to a weird clan? In a series filled with lunatic geniuses who are mostly from crazy clans, that makes him unique), so sue me. I've always felt Minato deserved his own life monologue in the series, but of course he's not a lunatic so he didn't get one.

Anyway, just want to say that I love this chapter. Too bad this story is obviously not your priority, considering how long it's been since you've last updated this. :(

Aww, thank you for Kazue's story. I agree that Tenten and her family hasn't really been given much of a backstory or spotlight in Naruto, but then again, a lot of characters has not been. This is why I turn to fanfiction. And you have given these characters justice.

Okay, I am positively imagining this as canon. It's refreshing to think of the fourth hokage having this kind of humor, or having any humor at all. I just wish we can glimpse Kushina's views here somehow, because I think her thoughts would be more fun. I guess I have to find out, huh?

Thanks for writing this. I've been on the lookout for a good MinaKush fanfic, so I'm very happy to have found this. I like how almost all my fave characters are here: Kakashi, Minato, Kushina, Jiraiya and Shikamaru (well, I imagined Shikaku as Shikamaru). I like more of Itachi, but I know he's not really crucial to the story.

I mostly glossed over the timelines or the wars, though. I'm more interested in the characters, so there's just one part that caught me. The part when Minato had almost squealed like a girl when Itachi called him 'unca', yet the second time he saw him again, he acted like he doesn't know the kid. I would have thought he'd be more warm to Itachi. Insignificant, I know. Other than that, I think Minato here is perfect, except I think he shouldn't have been able to keep his diary now that he's a hokage. I think this is why the story has to end.

But I like the inner-Kushina the most. Here.

Why is there no inner-Kushina-san mutterings any more?
