I am in love with your collection of stories. Most are even better than the series now, I have to say. I agree with you about the fourth series and making Elena into a vampire was a huge mistake, she is the human element in the show and now I'm not too bothered about watching the rest. I have over the past few weeks been rewatching all the episodes that Elijah was in, it's sad I know but it keeps me going lol

I liked this, Elena finally letting go that toxic relationship she has with the brothers. You captured her emotions and thoughts perfectly. I also very much enjoyed the unobtrusive way that Elijah gave her comfort and reassured her without actually saying it out loud that she made the right decision.

I can't wait to read more of this story as every new chapter gor better than the previous ones!

I enjoyed this perfect mix of emotinal, sad, seriouss and funny chapter. The two particularly funny moments that took the gold and silver place on the podium for me were when Elijah lamented on killing those worthless brothers and when Elena and Elijah shared a moment of 'vindictiveness' over Klaus's beloved Persian rug :)

The gentle, unobtrusive way that Elena started to heal Elijah is beautiful. I loved this chapter through and through. It was also interesting that while the siblings leaned on each other to heal and consequently strengthen their bond, Elijah because he esentially sacraficed himself for his siblings peace he shut himself out of the world. It is somehow sweet that his siblings know him enough to go to Elena for help.

Some of the methaphors were absolutely beautiful too and were perfect for the mood.

This was wonderful.

I have loved the other chapters and how they were from Elijah point of view but having this from Elena's point of view with intersecting memories from Elijah's past worked in a good way.

I loved that Elijah stepped out of his comfort zone and helped Elena even though his comfort had been rejected by others (Others that looked exactly like her) and that he let her know that he saw her as different than her ancestors.

And Elena almost making the realization that she deeply cares for Elijah but stomping on it before the idea could truly take root was adorable and heartbreaking.

I really cannot wait until you have him kiss her, but that is not for another two chapters so I hope you update soon. Thanks
