I am so sorry for reading your new chapter so late! I wanted to do it much sooner but circumstances threw my wants out of the way. But I got here eventually and I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed reading your writing again!

I must say, I didn’t really like Mark for obvious reasons, but what Kurt has done to him I would so not wish on anybody. Yikes! That scene was so vivid, I literally had to shake off those chills from my spine. Awesomely atmospheric.

I also loved the whole Dante/Lady interaction and how he left her guns emptied on the desk, good precaution lol. Your description of the feelings about what Vergil did and the subsequent status of their relationship was one of the best I have read! So you did a great work there and that is on a subject I have seen addressed many times but not ever so well as you did.

I feel sorry for Dante now, like he doesn’t have enough problems on his plate already, now Lady will be on his case with guns pointed at Vergil and then who knows what will happen before it probably gets even worse. Yikes again!

But here is my favourite line from this chapter, I really loved this: ‘Demons and their hatred for Sparda and his bloodline wove together like shoelaces, remaining partially untied by Vergil’s supposed death. Add that to him saying Scouts are following the broken woman upstairs into the mix… yeah, she needed to get away for a moment before she ended up doing something she might regret.’

That just so well sums up the messed up situation and Lady’s feeling about it and it made Lady so well in character for me. Yup, she would want to kill Vergil but at the same time she respects and trusts Dante, well, at least for now, mwahaha.

And what an awful vision Maisha had again and poor Dante thinking it was him scaring her to unconsciousness, lol. Well, all I can say is that I will be here till the end and can’t wait to see how this will all unwrap! Brilliant writing as always and so well done. Till next time!

Dear lord, child, you finally updated. I've first bumped into this story on adultfanfiction, not thinking it would be on this site. Then to see it... updated... so, uh, please update soon again. Please. This story is awesome. The OC is interesting. I hope she reunites with her twin. Agh! I need more!

Your attention to detail is amazing. It was like I was right there seeing everything. Lady's reaction was natural given the whole DMC3 fiasco so I could see how she would be angry, but that was a bit harsh considering Vergil is like...some sickly stick walking around. And congrats, I wish Mark would go fling himself on a bed of cacti. Seriously, I need something to happen him!

And Nievlea is like the brat of all brats with how sadistic and evil she is. I can;t believe she would torment him like that (thanks to your descriptive imagery). No wonder Vergil isn't up to standard yet if he had to go through that! Poor Maisha, she doesn't realize that Dante can take just about anything and come out on top, including bullets to the head.

Oh I can't wait unitl him and Dante *really* talks!

Ah, so this is the infamous Mark eh? And all be damned if he doesn't live up to his name. It's sad to see how some dudes want to control women by playing on theri emotions then turn into this stalking jerk when the women gain the courage to leave them. I hope somethign happens to his pathetic ass!

And poor Dante, everything is toppling down on him and he can't keep up. Everything is slowly backfiring on him and he can't tame the flames before they lash out of control. And I see Lady is as nosy as ever, nothing can get past her for long...then again, Dante can't tell a lie to save his life!

Ooh I can't wait to see what goes on next chapter. I am in this crazed, reading mode!

God, I loved this tragically dark and chaotic and yet somewhat humorous chapter. Vergil was absolutely great in this, handling all the surprises, commotion and shot out emotions from Lady like his former self, hence by icy detachment and annoying calm. I loved it.

The interaction of the five was really entertaining, fast and sharp, and I could very much imagine all that was happening and enjoyed it very much. The best part for me was the conversation between Vergil and Dante after Vergil came back out of the bathroom. Crazy cat hoarder – rolfs. The convo was so hilariously calm and to the point, I had to read it again a few times to get my full dose of kicks out of it.

You are now officially my favourite Vergil portrayer. Keep the style you had in these two chapters and it will be an absolute cracker of a story, well it already is, but I feel this is so much just a beginning. After all we need some revenge for the use of Vergil’s blood as a facial mask – damn I so admire your awesome inventiveness! I must say that originally I was a little apprehensive about Vergil’s behaviour towards Maisha but now with his explanation of his side of the episode, I am completely satisfied and relieved. Phew.

Sorry, I am so in a big fan mode right now as the DMC writing world seems to dwindle relentlessly and I have awaited this update for so long! It was truly worth the wait.

PS: Agreed that we need more of the Anime, and I’d add Vergil in the mix as well to spice it up. Then, it would be perfect.

Wow, I could not get over how brilliantly written this chapter was. I think your writing is getting better and better, and you can do all sorts of genres as well. This one had a great mix of drama, suspense, humour, even some smart and difficult psychological delving into two people’s relationship which really amazed me. This was when looking at what was happening between Maisha and Mark, and you put so much thought and meaning into it, it had me shake my head a few times at how well you did.

The whole chapter flowed really well to me and from start to finish it was quite intriguing. You do like to torture all the characters to the fullest indeed. :D I had so many things I loved I this chapter, but I will pull out some highlights for me personally:

‘Then again, was it worth having a meaningful conversation with him, given his prideful disposition?’ That, my dear, could not have been said any better, lol. You had that Dante’s thought process nailed down and he sure knew Vergil to the V. I did laugh at that one.

I loved it when Dante dismissed the Vergil/Maisha incident of near choking and beheading as: “Nah, that’s just his way of saying hello.” Her reaction to that was priceless.

Now Dante is getting stuck in between too many disparate problems of varying degrees of messiness, but I have all confidence that he can handle it all. Still, poor Dante, I so feel for you!

Off to read the next one, but really job so well done and thank you for the great read!

So much to take in with the chapter! Vergil did not have any allies in Hell did he? Gee that Nievella chick is as nasty as they come, now I want to see how Vergil got away.

I'm glad to see Lady kick his butt and for Dante throwing him out on his ass. That Mark guy is such a prick! I'm glad Dante stood up for the girls even though Lady doesn't need it,lol.

Poor Maisha not knowing Dante's true nature. And poor Dante for that awkward talk. It seems like someone is gonna have some explaining to do, after he gets rid of his cat hoarder look!

I just want to give Dante a big fat hug because he has some major explaining to do. I mean he couldn't keep up with his secrets and they all toppled in on him! And I too think he can get nothing past Lady. They are able to read each other and their personalities too well.

And Mark can go sit on a damn cactus! Oh I can somewhat relate to Maisha concerning having a boyfriend who used to verbally assault and insult me to make me lose who I was. He was never good for me and good for Miasha that she doesn't need him either!

Hm, I have a feeling that Dante's lieutenants are Agni and Rudra since they are the type to get distracted with everything! I love your descriptive words and I can't wait to read more!

Oh I enjoyed this chapter. It's so vivid and detailed that I could clearly imagine what everyone did. Dante going around like the PI he was cool to read, and ...did I read the right? He scared the sh*t outta that dog with his demonic command? See, I like it when authors put their own headcannons into their stories, it breaks away from what we usually see, ya know?

And that dream...oh it felt like I was right there along with her. Your imagery leaves me in awe every time because I simply love it.

“Eyelids opened to reveal blood-red irises, sclearas full of black veins protruding in tiny, thick lines in his eyeballs. He stared at her, vacant in their appearance yet swelled with hollow anger. The body she assumed to lie with death twitched in small increments, turning over on his stomach, beady crimson orbs never leaving her. His lips parted to reveal cracked, yolk-hued teeth, tongue black and decayed as he spoke.”

You ever think about writing a horror story, because I think you have the skills to really play with the genre. LOL

Their interactions were another treat to read. I loved how Dante gave her the evil eye, though not on purpose, and she thought it was Vergil criticizing her instead. And the ending! Oh you must update soon!

And don't worry about those stupid 'guest' reviewers leaving their canon hard-ons on nearly every story on here. Half the time they don't even read the story and they just tell the author to put shit in their story to throw it out of whack (eyeroll). I say screw the haters and write what you want to!

This was a really great chapter as always! Some great writing in here, especially around the dream-like sequence which had me sufficiently creeped out and in total eww mode. It seemed like Vergil taking the power from those symbols on her neck somehow invoked this horrid hallucination of sorts? That really is some scary power if it can bring people back from zombie state, hehe. No wonder Vergil was after it like a hungry lion.

The whole scenario was painted beautifully and I think my favourite description has to be: ‘She was an invisible section in space that wandered on in silent curiosity.’ Yay, so elevating.

So Dante thinks she earns money as a side-prostitute, lol. Tsk tsk, Dante how could you think that! ;D But I liked how he worked the dogs, it reminded me of Chronicles of Riddick where he stared down the evil looking hellhound till it squealed. So cool.

Lol, I bet women don’t usually cling to Dante out of fear. :) More like we know what for. But looks like Vergy in the end had some epiphany and instead of killing her, carried her to the sofa? So he can be nice, aww. Lol, she should have asked Dante to stroke her hair, that’d be awkwaaaaard. Muhaha.

He must have been a little jealous that Vergil talked to someone else first, of course he does not yet know that she healed Vergil and that’s why he was after her, which Maisha is trying to hide as well, or rather not believing it which is totally understandable considering. So this could be interesting, I wonder how will Dante figure it out or whom he will think is lying to him! Also Maisha thinking Vergil a cousin shows how bad Vergil really looks, she will be shocked to find out they are twins, lol! I love this attention to detail and how you explain thinks, so I can’t wait to keep finding out a bit more each time.

As for the African themes, I must tell you I was thrilled that you used your imagination and went for something completely different which is what is needed on this site! Darnit, if we all went for strict cannon, why on earth even bother writing fan fiction?! Isn’t all this about creativity? If I wanted canon and follow everything as it is ‘perceivably meant’ to be then creative writing would be dead! So I say great kudos to you for originality and using you great imaginative mind to share a brand new experience with us. I really can’t believe some people, sheesh. Tora signing out…before I use all the space, heh.

I wouldn't worry about what people are saying concerning your use of African themes, because this is an AU story and the added lore makes it fresh. Also, if I remember the games correctly, many non-white themes were hinted at through the names of levels and the like. (There's a level in the third game called Lost Souls Nirvana). Aaaanyways, thanks for the update!

Oh goody, an update. I thought you'd abandoned this story like so many others, but to my surprise I have something to read.

In the beginning I thought Vergil was the one in Masozi's (another funky name) position, but in essence it might as well be. That Nievella chick (where do you get these names?) is like the brat of all brats isn't she? I think she'll fit right in with some of these kids in my neighborhood XD! Kurt seems to have pulled a few strings himself if he's working with that girl to get V back.

And on the subject of Vergil, like can he calm down for a moment? I understand that he's been away for a long time and all and he has a right to feel like he does but dam, can he cut the girl a break? lol. And I see that you have him without Yamato and unable to detect its presence. I am waiting for that to come out now so you have to get on with the updates! Oh Maisha, don't worry, your life will pan out for the better, just not right now :D
