Or did you mean that it OUGHT to take ALBUS 25 years (instead of merely hours or days or months) to process that amount of pain, which had been crammed into Harry's 16 years thanks to Albus' manipulations and madness?

Small conflict with an earlier chapter, where you'd had Fawkes already decide Dumbledore was beyond redemption and contemplate if Harry Potter should be his new human partner. Here, you state that Fawkes' loyalty goes with the office of Headmaster, implying that Fawkes had been bonded to Dippet and who knows how many other Hogwarts heads before Dumbles.

I've gotta be honest. With sheer number of Dumbledore-bashing fics knocking around I am used to these accusations. It's still fun to read Dumbledore getting torn into, but the crimes have kinda lost their sting.
