You are...just the most amazing writer...the tension in this story, the grief, the relief... Your ability to grip the reader so tightly in your story is really profound. aww I wish the reunion had really happened like this, so much more satisfying than what happened in the show... sigh sometimes fanfiction is better than canon, this will be my new headcanon that this happened and that john got together with mary cuz sherlock tipped him off to her working for moriarty and he was keeping an eye on her for him (I'll just pretend that whole wedding/baby thing never happened)

Wow. Now out of the numerous and plentiful reunion fics I have read not only does this capture Sherlock's thought process this was a perfectly heartbreaking and lovely story. Ohh the John feels and the violin. Perfection my dear!
