My greatest regret in regards to Hyouka is that we didn't get to see more interactions between Houtarou and Mayaka, and you have filled that blank space wonderfully. I honestly don't know what else to say- everyone is wonderfully in-character and I easily picture each scene. Well done.

i ship Satoshi and Mayaka too, but the dynamic between her and Houtaro is amusingly hard to pass and you pretty much picture this perfectly. and i always admire your writings, but dang it, this one is close to the top.

goodness, you are the master at writing hyouka... really! i adored your portrayal of the houtarou, mayaka, and satoshi dynamic throughout, as well as when chitanda came in. super lovely. the dialogue flowed really well, too, and each transition was fabulously smooth in nature. oh and aksjhshshshs, who could ever forget the mayaka and houtarou snark! it made me grin. just—YEAH, this piece was great.

yes. just yes. it seems now that maybe nobody can write Hyouka fanfiction as well as you. you just completely understand these characters. the threads of the canon you've picked up and woven into this lovely series of snippets are great- I enjoyed every single one. excellent work!

I love this so much! I've always thought Houtarou and Mayaka's friendship (well they're more like frenemies, or something?) was hilarious and intriguing. You've written their characters so perfectly, and their hate/tolerance friendship is flawless hahah.

Gosh, that was lovely. If you ask me, Oreki and Ibara always had the best interactions within the entire anime - I never got bored with listening to their banter! You portrayed them all so realistically and incorporated their little dialogues and scenes so well with the actual plot. Ahh, I think I'll read it a second time over because I enjoyed this fic so much

This was a wonderful read! There aren't enough fics covering the relationship between these two and it's pretty refreshing, actually! They have a bit of a give-and-take; I like the way you portrayed that. Good work!
