Yeah, factoring in how much Shinichi's successful cooperation with the Beika police depended on how well and how long he'd been acquainted with Megure-keibu... I'm not at all surprised there are issues from the police's perspective now, when he's entirely an unknown. Poor Kaito is going to have to be his go-between for a while, eh? XD
