Very nice story. Very bitter sweet. I never really thought about Felix or any of the characters really being friendly with Turbo before...the game jumping and such. I like the idea of it. I feel bad for Felix here, though.

I kinda want to read a happier ending between the two now. (Not romance, just friendship and maybe Turbo becoming less insane... But that would be kinda hard considering the events of the movie.)

This was so great! I won't lie, when I read stories where Turbo is even the slightest bit of a three-dimensional character, I fall in love. Thank you for writing him with a feeling other than anger! And that first scene where Felix and Turbo are drinking a beer was just adorable. This whole story in its entirety was wonderful, of course, and I think the length was just perfect. When I saw how many words it had before reading, I was thinking "that's kinda short" but it wasn't! The pace was wonderful. And lastly, even though I ship 80's boyfriends REALLY hard, I still found myself really enjoying Felix and Turbo's broTP.

This story is very well-written! So emotional, and the characterization is great! Well-done! :)

I'm sorry I don't have anything more eloquent to say. This just. This was so so gah feels like whoa.
My only issue is the timeline. Like someone else said, I don't think Turbo could have had a 20-year anniversary when the arcade opened in '82 and RoadBlasters (which was a real arcade game developed by Atari, by the way) drew an end to Turbo's reign of blood in '87. On top of that, Sugar Rush came out in '97, 15 years after Litwack's opening. (So, I guess Turbo was just hiding out somewhere in GCS for ten years. Somehow.)

But I'm willing to forgive the historical inaccuracies just for the pure amazingness of this fic. Everyone was perfectly in-character, the writing was beautiful, I loved the little continuity nuances (got a big smile at the brief mention of Felix's dynamite gal), and the whole situation played out very believably. Felix's doormat-ness works well to stroke Turbo's ego, but the obvious downside to this is his easy caving under pressure. It would never have held out against his buddy's deteriorating sanity.

And I just got so many old friendship feels when Turbo saved him. I've stopped being friends with people before, and it's never pleasant because for the longest time part of you still wants to be friends with them even when you've realized that you just can't. Continue. Being friends. Gah. Ow. That scene broke my heart. Because Turbo still cares. If only just a little bit. Even if he'd never admit it. Not even to himself. Even if he thought it was inconceivable for him to really think of anyone like that and I should probably stop because this review is long enough already.

I love this story. This is amazing and going directly to my favorites.

I'm still kind of irate about Turbo being treated like nothing but an abstract, selfish villain when his actions and the possible consequences to such were the same as both Ralph's and Vanellope's. I'm glad that people are willing to explore his character a bit.

DAMNIT, GUEST! SHE HAS A LIFE OUTSIDE OF FANFICTION (College, etc.)! Think about it like this; if everyone is so selfish as to constantly bug her on the last chapter, she'll never make it. CAN YOU UNDERSTAND THAT, UNWANTED PESTERORS? PLUS, THIS STORY HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH SUPER EDS, SO STFU! Now, on the story, this is incredible. Period.

I've been meaning to write a review for this fic for awhile, I was just never sure how to word it. I'm still not entirely sure how to word it eloquently, but I'll do my best since I really do adore this fic.

First off, I like how you filled in the blanks to certain questions and made a headcanon that was rolling around tumblr actually work really well. I was personally kind of iffy over the idea Felix and Turbo could be friends considering what we saw in the movie of both characters, but you REALLY made it work. So many kudos for that alone. Your characterizations of Felix, Turbo and everyone in between were great. You made Turbo sympathetic in a certain way without him losing his edge. He still is very much the villain of our story, just given a bit more room so we can see what he was like before he managed to get his game and another game unplugged/destroyed a little girl's life completely.

I also like how you incorporated the komani code into the story, it was just the perfect tie in to explain why Felix couldn't remember Turbo. It felt like a missing puzzle piece to how this could work. Along with that it was pretty much a great element to push us forward through the story without it feeling like a farce. It all connected together REALLY well. I applaud you for the route you took in illuminating Felix's memories returning and his natural guilt over them.
